About the Role

We are looking for a bilingual immigration lawyer licensed to practice in Quebec to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate has approximately three years of post-call experience in Canadian immigration law and has worked hands-on with both student and work permit applications.

This role will support a range of international student and foreign worker matters, including Quebec-specific processes and federal immigration pathways, while operating within BorderPass’ national case management model.

You will collaborate closely with other lawyers, operations teams, and product stakeholders, contributing practical immigration expertise while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.

What You’ll Do

Provide legal review, strategy, and oversight on Canadian immigration matters, with a focus on student permits and work permits

Support files involving Quebec-specific immigration processes, as well as federal student and worker pathways across other provinces

Review and validate application materials prepared through the BorderPass platform

Communicate with clients to explain legal requirements, timelines, and next steps in clear, practical terms

Collaborate with internal legal, operations, and product teams to improve workflows and service delivery

Ensure compliance with applicable federal and provincial immigration regulations and professional obligations

Contribute to the development of scalable legal processes within a technology-enabled environment

What We’re Looking For

Licensed lawyer in good standing with the Barreau du Québec

Approximately three years of post-call experience in Canadian immigration law

Practical experience working on a range of immigration matters, including end-to-end guidance on study permits, LMIA-exempt work permits, PNP’s and other PR pathways like Express Entry, LMIA’s, etc.

Fully bilingual in French and English, written and spoken

Familiarity with Quebec-specific immigration requirements and processes, as well as federal immigration pathways

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment

Client-focused, responsive, and comfortable explaining complex legal concepts

Interest in working within a technology-driven legal services platform
